Year: 2022

– Famous Old Portraits – 14/12/22

Hello people, from around the world this week we have been learning about some famous paintings around the world. This week is a very special week for me because this is the last week of the year for school in 2022 only 2 days to go. The one the I have try my best on is this one…. Hope you like how I tryed to make it!

This is what I made…

I tried to make it the best that I can because I didn’t want it to look like a whole new person because I feel like it is a beautiful piece of art. I don’t want to ruin the piece of art, I hoped you liked how I tired to make it.

Zones of Emotions

Aloha people, last week and this week we have been learning about emotions. The red zone, blue zone, yellow, zone, green zone. Red is for angry, blue is for upset, yellow can be confused, green is for happy. This task has different emotions. Here is the slideshow that will tell you what the zones mean and what it feel like……

~Writing Term 3 Week 1 Show Not Tell~

Show not tell is where you show the action that is happening in your writing rather than just telling what is happening.~ Show Not Tell is a really fun thing for me it was kind of, hard but then a couple of days later it was very easy. Then we moved onto a slideshow with photos and we had to show what was happening in the photo ~

I think this was very easy when I got the hang of it, because I could just write anything. But showing and not telling like something about a dog and its bone.

The dog caught something ahead of it, the shiny white bold bone. He dripped all his way to the bone with meal shimmered all over it. It one wonderful bite it was gone.

Like that, that’s what showing is not telling

Collaborating with Yaldhurst Model school

Today we had another day of meeting between Hornby Primary School and Yaldhurst.

We talked about walking or moving away.  We had a slideshool where we had to choose a person, decide if the person was going to or leaving a place.  Then we had to pack a bag for them, with items that we thought would match their personality.

Yaldhurst did the same activity.  We had to say things and try guess the photo that they were doing.

We put some stuff into a suitcase. My group did the little girl photo that went to school. Someone had put a teddy bear inside the suitcase. I had to write down what we thought about it.

It was fun to see our Yaldhurst friends on a meet. I liked the part were we got to try and guess who they had packed the suitcase for. My group had to go first to show our slide show about our work. We were going onto the other peoples slide show about it and that’s when the guessing comes in. I hope you liked reading bye.

So today was a very different day. Today for digitech we were in groups and some people were with us on a google meet from another school. We shared what we have been doing for digitech. So far we told each other all about us and did pretty well! We started to not be so shy and started talking. It was kind of weird at first. My group had 4 people in it; Lyah, Shreeya, Natui and me. The other school was Yaldhurst. We didn’t get all the children’s names. This is the group photo and we had 7 people in total.
