– Famous Old Portraits – 14/12/22

Hello people, from around the world this week we have been learning about some famous paintings around the world. This week is a very special week for me because this is the last week of the year for school in 2022 only 2 days to go. The one the I have try my best on is this one…. Hope you like how I tryed to make it!

This is what I made…

I tried to make it the best that I can because I didn’t want it to look like a whole new person because I feel like it is a beautiful piece of art. I don’t want to ruin the piece of art, I hoped you liked how I tired to make it.

  1. Kia ora Frankie,

Simon here from the Summer Learning Journey.

Ka pai! This is the first recreation I have seen that has been a piece of drawn art. You must have spent a lot of time, thought and effort on this! It looks incredible.

Your description for your piece of art is so insightful too. You have really recreated this piece of art in an abstract sense and made it your own!

I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work over summer because this is fantastic 🙂

    Ngā mihi,
    Simon

    1. Thank you very much, I tired my best on this piece of art. I am very proud of myself for getting this artwork done in a little amount of time😄

  2. Kia ora Frankie,

I love your use of Google Draw to recreate this painting. It’s great that you have explained why you chose to do it this way too. I wonder what this famous painting is called? How old do you think it is?

    Keep up the fantastic work.

  3. Kia ora Frankie!

I’m Stephanie from Rm2, Awapuni school. I love how you drawed the well known famous artwork girl with pearl earrings. I also loved how you said that you didn’t want to make it look like the real piece of art because you thought that you would ruin the art work even though yours is beautiful. Did you know that the artwork of the ” Girl with pearl earring” was made back in 1665 by Johannes Vermeer which was back in the Dutch Golden Age.

You did an amazing job recreating this artwork. I wonder what you would do next time?

    Nga mihi, Stephanie

This is a wonderful piece of artwork. I really like the design you made. I like how you made it look the same, like the hair being in the same style and adding the ear ring in! It’s really pretty. I think you did amazing! Honestly, there’s nothing I can think of that you need to improve on.
